Some women are thrilled when people mistake them as being substantially younger. For Jing Lee she needed to be seen as substantially older when she applied for a general manager's position with a multi national company. The advertisement, in a Malaysian newspaper, asked for a “slim, tall attractive woman in her 30s with suitable business qualifications” and Jing, just 25 at the time, had no problem fulfilling the criteria of the politically incorrect advertisement with the exception of age! Young and brave, she showed up to win over her panel of interviewers to become the company's youngest ever general manager. She went on to successfully represent the company's interests in the region..
